Sporting Events
MGC Annual Open Bridge Tournament
A South Zone ranking event that draws accomplished players from across India. One of the most respected bridge fixtures on the Chennai calendar. Past participants include Amulya Rao Atluri, Malini Krishna, Koushik Mukherjee, and many others.
T. K. Singaram Cricket Trophy
Structured inter-club cricket competition, organised, officiated, and fiercely contested. A cornerstone of the club's sporting calendar.
Tennis Club Championships
Annual championships across categories, continuing a lineage that traces directly to the 1889 Southern India Championships.
Billiards & Snooker Fixtures
State-level cue sport competitions connected to the club's competitive schedule, featuring players from across Tamil Nadu.
Social & Cultural Events
New Year's Eve Gala
The club's flagship social evening, celebrated with dinner, music, and dancing. One of Chennai's most anticipated evenings.
Founder's Day
Commemorating the club's establishment in April 1884 with special events and sporting fixtures.

Periodic evenings featuring classical music, drama, and cultural performances, open to members and families.
Private Events & Catering
The Club's spaces (The Verandah, the Upper Deck, the Grand Lobby, and private dining rooms) are available for member-hosted functions. Birthdays, anniversaries, corporate dinners, and family gatherings are accommodated with full catering support from the Club kitchen.
