About the Club
Established April 1884. Over 4,000 members. One enduring purpose: sport, fellowship, and community in the heart of Chennai.
What We Believe
Sport is best practised within institutions that understand its culture. Fellowship is richer when it is shared across generations. A club endures not because of its facilities alone, but because of the standards it maintains and the community it cultivates.
Madras Gymkhana Club is not a venue. It is an institution, one that has shaped the sporting and social life of Chennai for over 140 years.
