General Committee

Established in 1884, the club boasts of a history steeped in tradition, passed unsullied down the years through generations. Taking roots as an institution for the recreation of the early British population, it soon admitted members of Indian birth, who were descended royalty or doyens of business and commerce. Codes and regulations remained unchanged over nearly a century, but were finally adapted and modified to suit the transitory changes of the current generation. In the present day, it is an eclectic mix of old and young, tradition and modern, enjoying the best of both worlds.
