Century old recipes have been recorded for posterity and handed down the line from chef to chef, records of which are available in the club’s archives. Specialty dishes, like the rumkin toast and pineapple passion ice cream probably cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The baked dishes and the cakes and pastries are unmatchable. Even with today’s trend of outsourcing, the club has wisely decided to only source out the Chinese and North Indian cuisines, while retaining the preparation of traditional dishes within its own kitchen.
